Members of the Maclear police have recovered a television, computers, laptops and electrical appliances worth R40 000.
Police spokeswoman Captain Ursula Roelofse said a combined operation involving members of the Visible Policing Unit, Crime Prevention and detectives led to the arrest of five suspects aged between 25 and 29.
The success followed on information received from the public at Sonwabile in Maclear.
A link between the suspects and four additional housebreaking cases and a case of possession of stolen goods is being investigated.
The suspects appeared in court earlier today with cluster commander Colonel Matshediso Gezani commending the members on the success.
