A 29-year-old man is in custody following the alleged rape of a woman, 31, in Dutywa over the weekend.
Police spokesman Captain Jackson Manatha said the woman was walking to her uncle’s home in Nqabane village when she noticed that she was being followed. She was allegedly accosted and raped.
The Dutywa police arrested the suspect who appeared before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of rape.
