GALLERY: COUNCIL MEETING UNCERTAINTY: The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality (EMLM) speaker Bongiwe van Heerden has been sending councillors back and forth messages about a special council meeting set to sit tomorrow. Yesterday, councillors received SMSes postponing and reconvening the meeting twice. The said meeting is set to determine the future of administrator Vuyo Mlokothi which council plans to remove from office. The Rep received screenshots of threads of SMSes sent by van Heerden showing her indecisiveness about the meeting. According to information received and council standing rules, the last SMS sent by the speaker reconvening the meeting for tomorrow would be illegal due to it not meeting the 48hour notice period required before a sitting can take place.
