The Chris Hani District Table Tennis Federation is bringing the provincial championships to Komani to be played at Maria Louw High School tomorrow (June 1).
Chairman Conrad Simons said the championships were a first for the district and they encouraged people to come out in numbers. “We encourage everyone to come and watch our local participants, whom are among the favourites to be selected for the provincial team. Admission will be R10 and all proceeds will go to the school.
“We have players like Cohl Simons, who became the U15 SA schools champ last year, Nitaya McCuur who won bronze at the same tournament in the U15 girls ‘ event and a couple of underdogs whom we expect to do very well at the championship,” said Simons.
