DARK DAYS: The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality (EMLM) has blamed the power outage which affects Westbourne and Weshof areas since Thursday on a cable fault. EMLM spokesman Gcobani Msindwana said yesterday that electricians were “fixing” the problem and that power would be on by 2pm. “I do not know what is happening at this point because power was supposed to have been on yesterday already and now the electricians are not taking my calls,” he said earlier today.
Msindwana later indicated in a media WhatsApp group that electricians were on site working and hoped power would be restored by 15:30pm today.
