Komani LFA heating up

Date:

It was another week in LFA football and Komani zone teams were tussling to collect every point available.

Phoenix still have top spot in group A with 12 points in four games, after another win against AFC Komani. Phoenix overwhelmed AFC Komani, the third placed team, by five goals with no reply.

Kaizer United edged ahead of Dynamos over the weekend with one point to move to second place after a comprehensive victory over Athletico FC. It was boys against men in a score that read 7-0 at full time.

Group B teams finally got going with more teams kicking off their campaigns in the SAB league. Komani Conquer moved down to second place, still on six points. They lost their game against third-placed Ravens by 1-2. Ravens are now tie with them on points, but have an inferior goal difference.

The big winners in Conquer’s fall were 1860 FC who moved from fourth place after a hard-fought battle against Teenagers FC in another 2-1 game.

All the games were played at the Dumpy Adams Sport Complex on Saturday.

This week’s fixtures will be played at Dumpy, Thobi Kula Indoor Sport Centre and the old army base.
