The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Deputy Minister Buti Manamela is currently visiting Walter Sisulu and Fort Hare Universities in East London today.
In a press release DHET media liaison officer Siyabonga Nxumalo said this was part of the on-going assessment of admissions, registrations and implementation of improvements in the National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
Nxumalo said the Deputy Minister would interact with the institutions‘ management, union members and student representatives councils (SRC) and do a walk-about at registration sites.
