SOUTH Africa will celebrate Heritage Day on Saturday September 24, but in Komani, it is not just another public holiday because the Queens Hotel complex will host a fun outdoor day that the whole family can enjoy.
Of course, one of the main attractions will be the Mr Strongman competition, in which men who have been training all year just for this, will perform amazing feats of strength to see who can outlast all the rest.
The children (and plenty of adults too) will be entertained by the antics of Circus Leemack, and can have their faces painted and run and play in the wide open spaces to their hearts’ content.
There will also be an aerobics demonstration, several prizes and lucky draws, a festive beer garden and a local DJ to keep everyone entertained during the day.
To cater for the inner man, there will be braai packs, boerie rolls and plenty of other food and drinks available – and the good part is that it will be cooked for you.
For those who don’t want to miss out on what’s on the big screen, Hadley’s Sports Bar is always open.
So bring your family and friends and come enjoy a wonderful Heritage Day in the outdoors, with plenty of entertainment and food on offer for all tastes.
