Racing drivers in top form

RACING drivers from Komani, members of the JDR racing team led by Derek Boy, fared well at the recent Border 100 day held at the grand prix circuit in East London and attended by drivers from many parts of the country.
In the section for historic saloons Class A, Derek Boy swept the boards in his Chev Can Am V8, with Ryan Boy third in a Ford Capri V8.
Alec Gudmanz was placed third in Class D of the modified saloons, driving a Volkswagen Golf 2.0L 20 valve, followed by Sean Heidemann in a VW Golf 2.0L 8 valve.
In the 2016 Dunlop historic challenge Derek Boy won Class A and in 2016 modified saloons Class D, Sean Heidemann was second.
