Find jobs for Komani folk

Date:

EMPLOYED of Komani writes: THE job seekers – or men looking for piece jobs – sitting on the route to Nonesi Mall, is a sorry sight.
Surely something can be done in ensuring a more cohesive approach in helping these men find jobs, whether occasional or on a more long-term basis? Surely some of them have skills which might help them find employment if these skills are just promoted or some kind of awareness raised?
In addition, there are no public toilets or any proper form of shelter on these pavements and the nearby home owners are probably not thrilled with the current arrangement. I am not sure whether this falls within the public sector or whether it is the municipality’s response to take action in this regard, but it would be positive all round if these men were assisted in a positive manner.
