Streets on fire

Date:

AN image of the protest in Ezibeleni this morning as sent in by a Komani resident. Tyres were set alight and the intersection near the township blocked.

Although the protest then moved to the N6, the police were on the scene to manage the situation.

The protest, related to service delivery and ongoing electricity cuts, started on Tuesday night.

The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality has indicated that a statement will be released shortly. The Rep will be covering the story in this week’s issue of The Rep.
