According to reports by the SABC, music veteran Ray Phiri has died after a battle with lung cancer.
The star was recently admitted to a Nelspruit hospital for treatment‚ with a friend starting a crowd funding initiative to help pay for his medical costs.
Attempts to contact Ray’s family were unsuccessful but tributes have already started to pour in for the Stimela star.
