Today, August 19, marks the World Humanitarian Day as declared by the United Nations (UN).
The WHD campaign for 2017 is #NotATarget, and aims to highlight the plight of civilians caught in conflict throughout the world resulting in displacement, poverty, suffering and heartbreak.
The WHD campaign has, through an online campaign including Facebook Live and events all over the world, advocated for those living in war zones and have urged more protection for civilians caught in conflict.
