THE South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that controlled blasting is scheduled to take place between Dutywa and Mthatha, from September 5 to 7, weather permitting.
On Tuesday September 5 the blast will take place at 11am at approximately 39.2 kilometres from Dutywa when travelling towards Mthatha in the Mtentu Cuttings. One Wednesday September 6 at 2pm the blasting will take place approximately 32 kilometres from Dutywa when travelling towards Mthatha off the existing alignment.
On Thursday September 7 at 11am the blast will take place approximately 39 kilometres from Dutywa when travelling towards Mthatha in the Mtentu Cuttings.
The road will be closed during the blast. The duration of the closure will be kept to as short duration as possible, but the road could be closed up to a maximum of two hours.
