Shock at Mount Frere cannibalism killing

A 23-year-old Tsomo man is in in hospital after he was shot while allegedly eating the flesh of a young woman he had allegedly just murdered on Saturday.
Police spokeswoman Captain Edith Mjoko said the woman was abducted from the main street of the town at about 1.30pm and dragged to the suspect’s home.
Her throat was then slit.
Mjoko said the suspect’s mother called the police and when they arrived, he was allegedly eating the woman’s flesh.

Police ordered him to stop and him himself over, but instead he rushed at the police while brandishing the knife.
Mjoko said several warning shots did not deter the man and he was wounded. He was taken to hospital and was under police guard.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
She said the suspect appeared to be “suffering from some kind of abnormality.”
