The Rep recently asked in our online poll: What can the citizens of Komani and surrounding towns do to ensure safer communities?
Ten people replied with the following answers: three said residents should join community policing forums and make a difference via active participation while another three thought residents should be giving the police information on criminal activity and showing support for the police.
Two people said residents should not harbour criminals and should inform police of their whereabouts.
A further two said they would support the start of neighbourhood watch bodies and that people should be alert, watching over their properties and the properties of others in their neighbourhoods.
