THE Chris Hani District Municipality has warned Komani residents that the water pressure has decreased due to the current power outage which started this morning.
In a statement, CHDM spokeswoman Thobeka Mqamelo said CHDM was in constant communication with the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality and would “work around the clock to ensure uninterrupted water service provision.”
Mqamelo said CHDM would be using back-up generators to ensure that the supply was not interrupted but warned that pressure had decreased as the generators did not produce the same pumping speed as when electricity was available.
“We appeal to communities to use water sparingly.”
