Limited information is currently available on tomorrow’s taxi protest action in the Komani area, but caution has been urged.
Available information is that the strike is expected to start at 3am with the Ezibeleni road to Komani being closed.
From 6am ranks in the town will be closed with some of the access and exit roads to Komani are allegedly to be blockaded.
Residents and commuters are urged to take care in the area and not to take risks.
Other roads in the province will also be affected.
The taxi association Santaco is calling for Transport, Safety and Liaison MEC Weziwe Tikana to address concerns with among others, dissatisfaction with the increasing fuel price.
Police are expected to monitor the situation.
