The cable fault which has left Prince Alfred, Grey and Ebden Streets without power since last week has been located and is receiving attention.
Gcobani Msindwana of the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality said the technicians’ efforts were however being delayed by a water leak in the same area as the cable.
The Chris Hani District Municipality was busy helping to fix the leak to enable the technicians to restore power to the three streets. A time frame for the reconnecting of the power supply has not been given.
If we receive any further information, we will do our best to update you.
