Members of the police and Safety and Liaison Department joined in a door-to-door campaign in different areas in Cala on Thursday.
The aim was to allow interaction with residents on crime concerns.
The campaign was led by acting head of the department, Zukile Kani and SAPS provincial head of visible policing, Brigadier Malibongwe Ntsabo.
Roadblocks were held with two arrests for drunken driving and 85 people searched. Two vehicles were impounded.
