Heatwave: Chris Hani District Municipality spokewoman Thobeka Mnqamelo said this week the heatwave currently being experienced in the area had caused a strain on the district’s water resources and that water usage had risen alarmingly over the past three days.
“This has resulted in a severe drop of water levels in our reservoirs. We are currently alternating our pumping to relieve all areas. The municipality regrets the inconvenience and urges consumers to bear with the municipality. Any water enquiries can be logged on 0800100100,” Mqamelo said.
