The Rep’s latest online poll asked the question: Is the legalisation of dagga for private use, as approved by the Constitutional Court, a good idea? This is what you said:
A total of 24 people cast their vote, with 10 (41%) saying it was a great idea considering its medicinal properties.
Five people (20%) said it was a boost for freedom of choice and inevitable considering the direction in which other countries were moving.
Four people (16%) thought it was a bad decision which would impact on increasingly unruly behaviour at schools while three votes (12%) indicated that it would be difficult to police and could have a negative impact on society.
Two people (8%) said it was a terrible move as people who smoke dagga could move on to harder drugs in time.
