Chris Hani District Municipality (CHDM) personnel are cleaning the water in the high level reservoir as per the set schedule and will result in dirty water coming out of taps in some areas.
CHDM communications officer Lonwabo Kowa said this was due to the municipality not being able to flush the lines long enough as there had been water shortages. “We urge customers to exercise extreme caution before using water. We also encourage people to first boil water before consumption” , he said
