Komani residents feel the heat as EMLM workers down tools

The shutdown of services in Komani has left residents with little choice on how to dispose of their garbage. The Rep photographer counted about seven fires in the centre of town on Monday evening as street sellers set their rubbish on fire seeing that refuse collection had not been taking place for weeks. Municipal workers have apparently been on strike resulting in service delivery coming to a halt. Read more on this in this week’s The Rep.
