Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane and health MEC Sindisiwe Gomba visited Frere Hospital and the National Health Laboratory Services in East London on Thursday, to check if the facility was ready to deal with Covid-19 cases.
A section of the hospital has been prepared to quarantine patients who may test positive for the virus.
Mabuyane said he was happy with that the province was prepared and urged citizens to follow precautions of avoiding crowds and maintaining personal hygiene, to combat the Coronavirus.
