UDM leader Bantu Holomisa announced on social media that he has tested negative for Covid-19.
Holomisa who had reportedly stopped at Life Queenstown Private Hospital on the night of March 27, en route to Mthatha from Pretoria, said he was informed by the doctor who had taken samples that tests were negative as per Pathcare results, “SARS Coronavirus 2 RNA was not detected in this sample” .
Holomisa, who was self-isolating said he would “continue to stay in doors like all other people”.
DispatchLive reported that Holomisa was tested on the same day the African Christian Democratic Party announced that its leader, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, and chief whip, Steve Swart, had tested positive for Covid-19.
The report stated that Holomisa was among those who attended a meeting convened by President Cyril Ramaphosa in parliament which Meshoe also attended.
