LOVE n Peace were annihilated by Amathole in a SAB soccer league match in Ezibeleni on Saturday.
Love n Peace went down 4-1, sealing the winners’ place at the top of the log, Safa Chris Hani regional executive officer Koliwe Masabalala said.
Holy Kings thrashed MK Academy 2-0 at the same venue.
The matches set for Sunday between Valgas and Difra Stars in Molteno and Mighty Cosmos and Might Bucs were postponed due to the rain as the fields were unplayable.
Amathole are leading the log with 19 points after eight matches, Valgas are on 15 from seven games and Holy Kings, in third place, have 13 points after eight games. Difra Stars have 11 points having played seven games, MK Academy have played eight games and are on 10 points, and Mighty Cosmos have gained eight points in seven games.
Mighty Bucs have five points from seven games while Love n Peace bring up the rear with five points after eight games.
This week Mighty Cosmos will play Difra Stars in Sterkstroom, and Valgas will take on Love n Peace at the Dumpy Adams Stadium on Saturday.
MK Academy are billed to take on Mighty Bucs in Sada while Holy Kings will play Amathole in Ezibeleni.
Both matches are set for Sunday.
