EASTERN Cape cluster detectives managed to apprehend 20 suspects during a tracing operation in the province last night.
In a press statement today, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said the suspects are aged between 21 and 48 with detectives following up information on cases opened in different areas last month.
The suspects were arrested in the areas of Stutterheim, Ndevana, Izele, Zwelitsha, King Williams Town, Steve Vukile Tshwete and Bhisho and were wanted on charges ranging from murder, housebreaking and theft, assault, robbery, theft and malicious damage to property.
They are set to appear in different magistrates courts throughout the province today.
King William’s Town Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga commended the members for a job well done in tracing the suspects.
