SAB League log leaders Amathole FC had a sombre weekend following a 1-1 draw against Holy Kings in Ezibeleni on Sunday, allowing runner up Valgas to close the gap.
Valgas now stands the chance of leading the log if they win this weekend.
Valgas beat Love n Peace on Saturday at the Dumpy Adams Stadium while Difra Stars beat Mighty Cosmos 3-1 in Sterkstroom. MK Academy and Mighty Bucs drew 1-all in Sada.
This weekend, Valgas will take on Amathole at Sada at 3pm and MK Academy will face off with Difra Stars also at Sada at 1pm tomorrow. Log trailers Love n Peace will play Mighty Cosmos in Sterkstroom at 3pm and Mighty Bucs will take on Holy Kings in Molteno at 3pm.
Amathole is in the lead with 20 points after nine games, with Valgas second with 18 points after eight games and Difra Stars third with 14 points after eight games. Holy Kings are fourth with 14 points after nine games, MK Academy has played nine games with 11 points and Mighty Cosmos has played eight games with eight points. Mighy Bucks has six points after eight games while Love n Peace has five points after nine games.
