The Komani police have started a manhunt for suspects who hijacked a Quantum on the N6 near the Tylden turn off earlier today.
Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said the owner of the Quantum had received a call from a church from where he was asked to collect passengers. En route he was stopped by three armed men in a BMW who took him out of his vehicle, leaving him standing in the road.
Police have not yet recovered the vehicle.
Mdleleni asked drivers of public transport to take care as the incident was not the first to be recorded in the area.
