The General Secretary of the South African Federation of Trade Unions (Saftu), Zwelinzima Vavi, will be in Komani for the first time since the formation of the federation.
Vavi will be joined by the general secretary of National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa), Irvin Jim and Democratic Municipal and Allied Workers’ Union of South Africa (Demawusa) deputy president, national leader Nomvume Ralala, as they address workers at the Thobi Kula Indoor Sport Centre on Wednesday, August 9.
The rally will be hosted by the local branch of Saftu and will start at 10am.
