DID you know that on this day, August 5, 2013, the first lab-grown burger was eaten in the United Kingdom?
According to the website, www.thepeoplehistory.com, the burger was made from cow cells. These were turned into strips of muscle and eaten at a news conference in London. Apparently those eating the burger said it tasted close to the real thing.
