FOUR suspects are in custody following their arrests by the police outside Tarkastad on Sunday.
Police spokeswoman Captain Laraine Jonker said the suspects were taken into custody at about 4.45pm.
The suspects, aged between 18 and 40, have been charged with illegal hunting. A Toyota bakkie with two 303 rifles, which are licensed and allegedly belong to one of the suspects, were seized.
Three Steenbok and a porcupine were also seized.
The suspects appeared in the Tarkastad Magistrate’s Court today with the case postponed for further investigation.
