All roads will lead to the Mlungisi Stadium for the annual Queens Casino Breakers rugby tournament on Saturday.
This annual showpiece brings the best rugby talent in Komani together in a carnival atmosphere.
Breakers are the defending champions. There is a huge winner’s tag, with the A stream winners pocketing R20 000 and rugby kit and the runners-up winning R10 000. In stream B the winners will receive R10 000 and rugby kit with the runners-up receiving R5000. On top of that all participating teams get warm-up shirts and a rugby ball.
The festivities will open with a gala dinner at the Queens Casino on Friday evening before the matches kick off tomorrow.
Breakers warmed up with a close 15-12 win over Progress in the Twizza Derby Cup hosted at the Thobi Kula Stadium last Saturday. The match gives both teams good preparation for this weekend’s tournament.
