A Komani man was all smiles this week after he received his public drivers’ permit (PDP) from the Enoch Mgijima Municipality traffic department. The Rep reported (“Man sees red after long struggle to get permit”, March 24, ) that Zuko Tolashe from Newvale had been struggling since last year to get the PDP because of problems with the municipality.
An elated Tolashe visited The Rep this week. “People were criticising me for going to the paper. They said I am complaining about such a small issue, but look how fast I was able to get help from the traffic department after the article was published.”
He makes extra money by driving long-distance trips for local churches. “I now feel really happy. I can drive freely and earn some money without having to worry about not having the PDP.”
